Christmas Ornament 2003

In keeping with the theme, this year I picked an ornament that symbolized the two big events of the past year. We purchased our first home this year, a fake house (detached condo) with a fireplace I love. We also got a dog, Leilani. I had this cute pattern of a dog in front of a fireplace, which we thought was a great pattern, even though the dog looks nothing like ours.

I finished this ornament by wrapping a 3" wooden embroidery hoop with holiday ribbon, then placing the cross-stitch in it. I made a loop and a bow out of the ribbon, to cover the screw at the top of hoop, and covered the back with felt. I was really pleased with the way it turned out.
